First Nations, Métis, & Inuit Celebration + Fundraiser

On Saturday, April 29th, 2017 we gathered at Jal Gua Organic Cafe for an amazing day and unique opportunity to come together and celebrate Indigenous music, traditions, culture, and food! We also had inspiring speakers sharing their personal stories and experiences.

Proceeds from the event went to support two Indigenous organizations in Toronto: 
Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto
Na-Me-Res (Native Men's Residence)
Funds raised also support and stand with:
Standing Rock Sioux Tribe #NODAPL #WaterIsLife

Donate Your Bras And Free The Girls!

On Saturday, February 4th, 2017 The Beatitudes Movement collected new and gently used bras to support Free The Girls: Fight Human Trafficking, an organization that helps provide jobs to women that have been rescued from sex trafficking. The bras are sent to Mozambique, Uganda, and El Salvador. The rescued women are then able to sell the bras, start their own entrepreneurial business, reintegrate back into society and become self sufficient.

Together we collected 432 bras! Thank you all for supporting and donating your bras. You are giving hope to women that have been rescued from sex trafficking!
